Christmas is Coming to Terra Mitica

Benidorm's big theme park Terra Mitica welcomes the special Christmas season this weekend (it's a big TWO public holiday weekend) with its new festive programme.

As well as its 'normal' attractions you'll find a Christmas market with 70 stalls, a 20 metre high Christmas tree, spectacular street parades, a 'living' nativity scene, traditional Christmas games and workshops for kids, songs and carols, a children's farm with geese, sheep, goats, and special shops selling chocolate, sweets and Father Christmas toys.

Even better, the park now has one of Spain's most popular restaurants in its grounds, The Lizarran Taberna. Famous for its fantastic selection of tapas and pinchos, this genuine taste of Spain is the only one of the 193 branches to be situated in a theme park. It's opened in the Ocionia area in what was once the Luxor Restaurant. We're not sure if they'll do the tapa version of Christmas pudding though?
