Alfaz for Wine Route?

The mayor of Alfaz del Pi and two representatives of wine producers Bodegas Mendoza hava asked Costa Blanca tourist boss to include the town on the Alicante Wine Route.

The Alicante region is well blessed with vineyards and forms a part of the network of wine routes which criss-cross the whole country of Spain. It's part of a promotion which brings quality tourism to the country by encouraging visitors to visit (and buy wine from) the vineyards and bodegas.

Gema Amor, the tourism boss, sees no reason why Alfaz shouldn't join other wine producing areas from Alicante - Pinoso, Villena, Monóvar, Algueña, Novelda, Hondón de los Frailes and Petrer – on the route and neither do we!

So let's raise our glasses in a toast to Alfaz and welcome to the wine route.
