Budget Trams Tips

a saving of €1.50 per return journey

Since the new direct tram service from Benidorm to Alicante started last June it has been a roaring success for holidaymakers and locals alike. Almost 23,000 trams have made the journey carrying over 2 million passengers – an annual increase of 47% and that's only for half the year!

The one hour comfortable journey is now attracting many commuters who would normally have to battle rush hour traffic on the motorways. Not only is it less stressful going to work but it can work out much cheaper too.

A return ticket from Beni to Ali costs €5 but a book of 10 tickets can be purchased for €17 which gives a saving of €1.50 per return journey. There's nothing to stop a group of friends or family buying a book of tickets and using them for a day out in Alicante at a budget beating price!
