Mundomar Dolphins

dolphins all look pretty similar

Benidorm's animal park Mundomar is helping in a scientific study of wild dolphins in the seas nearby. They're assisting staff of the Sierra Helada Natural Park to identify individual dolphins which visit the waters so that tabs can be kept on their routines and habits.

With the aid of personnel and a special camera from Mundomar, scientists hope to build up a 'rogues gallery' of these playful aquatic mammals. Let's face it, dolphins all look pretty similar, as our photo by Rosinês Biesdorf & Roberto Domaica shows, but the experts can easily tell one from another by their tell-tale dorsal fins!
