Lancashire Lasses for ITV's Benidorm?

Two famous Lancashire lasses could be appearing on our screens next year in the new series of hit ITV comedy Benidorm. Scouse songbird Cilla Black and Warrington Warbler Kerry Katona are reported to be in talks with the show's writer and producers about parts in the comedy.

Our Cilla – who thinks the show is fab - will probably take a cameo role whilst former Atomic Kitten star Katona would love to leave the bad weather in Iceland far behind and enjoy a sunshine break in Benidorm.

The third series of Benidorm came to an electrifying end last week with 6 million viewers, a 26% share of the audience, tuning in to watch the episode. Bosses at the channel are cock-a-hoop as advertising revenue is starting to rise again thanks to shows like Benidorm and the X-Factor after a poor year because of the recession.

So, roll on Benidorm IV!!
