The Mayor of Benidorm has officially launched a new fleet of two wheeled mobile tourist information officers. They'll be riding around town with all the information anyone could ever need about Benidorm but they won't be on bicycles!
 
The new two wheelers are those nifty battery powered Segways where the rider merely leans one way or the other to steer them in whichever direction they want. These little gizmos can travel as far as 24 miles (38 kms) on one battery charge so there's a lot of zooming around can be done during the day.

The specially trained staff will have maps and leaflets and will be able to answer almost any question about the town ranging from 'where is the bar selling 80 cents a pint beer?' to 'Which bus goes to Terra Mitica?'
