Moraira Regatta

prizes totalling €6000

The seventh annual 'Moraira 300 Miles Regatta' starts tomorrow 21st January. All being well, a flotilla of boats will set sail at 8 bells – that's 12.00 mid-day to you and me – competing for prizes totalling €6000.

The route takes the boats all the way to Murcia and then they head for Ibiza and Formentera before returning back to Moraira and the finish line at the town's Nautical Club.

The Regatta is a great boon to Moraira's tourist business in the low season and hotel owners and businesses alike are all pleased that it draws so many people to the resort which is about 40 kms up the coast to the north of Benidorm.
