Benidorm Police Uniforms

two summer outfits and two winter ones

Apart from members of the criminal fraternity we all love the sight of a well turned out man in a uniform. Unfortunately in Benidorm, our bobbies on the beat are all looking a little shabby (think Guy Fawkes or scarecrow here please).

The reason is that they've not had new uniforms for two years now! They're supposed to get two summer outfits and two winter ones but they're having to make do with just one for all seasons. As you can imagine, two year's worth of cigarette ash, coffee stains and doughnut crumbs can leave a copper looking a little dishevelled and the Police Union has complained to the Council about it.

Benidorm Council's answer is that they haven't got enough money to buy new uniforms at the moment.

We've highlighted this situation in our news section previously when the opposition politicians lambasted Governing party for not spending enough on Cops' clothes. Oddly enough, the same opposition politicians were at it again four years earlier when they moaned that TOO MUCH was being spent on uniforms.
You can't win , can you?
