Everyone's probably heard of Benidorm's best known entertainer, Sticky Vicky. But did you know that her 'name' has also been up in lights in the courts of Valencia recently?

Our story begins around 20 years ago when María Victoria Aragües started performing her unusual magic act around Benidorm's bars and entertainment venues under her stage name of Vicky Leyton. Her biggest audiences were British who soon started calling her 'Sticky' Vicky, and the name stuck!

Some time later enter María Rosa Pereira, known as Sexy Barbara, who recognising a good thing when she saw it, legally registered the name Sticky Vicky!

There's been a long running legal battle between the two artistes over the use of the name and now a judge in Valencia has decided that despite Vicky Leyton's use of the name for years, it is Sexy Barbara who can now use it in her publicity as only she legally registered it.

It's easy to say with the use of 20/20 hindsight, but the original Sticky Vicky should have pulled her finger out sooner!
