Super Train for Benidorm?

would link Alicante, Vila Joyosa, Benidorm, Denia and Gandia to Valencia

Don't hold your breath, but some day soon there may just be a rail link between Alicante, Benidorm and Valencia. The lack of a decent rail service up the Valencian coast has always been a bit of an embarrassment but things may be about to change.

The Spanish Secretary of State for Infrastructures has agreed to incorporate this new project into the State Plan for Railway Investment for next year. The new project would link Alicante, Vila Joyosa, Benidorm, Denia and Gandia to Valencia on a track running along the coast roughly parallel with the AP-7 Motorway.

Trains would travel at 200 kph linking two major airports and 3 major passenger ports and millions of inhabitants. Benidorm and its Theme Parks would be so much more accessible for holiday makers and day trippers alike, and vice versa, imagine a holiday in Benidorm with a day trip to Valencia easily do-able!
