The Spanish Institute of Official Credit has increased a line of credit to the tourist industry by €600 million. The total credit of €1000 million can be used by hotels and the like under the Government's 'Plan Renew' to improve facilities for tourists.

Package tour giant Thomson recently conducted a survey amongst British clients about their favourite 'Sun and Beach' destinations. Benidorm came out tops – which pleased Benidorm Tourism supremo Angélica Such no end – and five of the top ten choices were in Spain.
