Benidorm Low Cost – Big Profit!

a whopping €2 million!

The big 'Low Cost' alternative music festival last weekend in Benidorm has been judged an immediate success by pretty well all concerned. Hotels and campsites were full, tourist apartments had a big increase in bookings and bars and restaurants did their best weekend business all year.

The event was attended by around 24,000 people who, apart from accommodation and entry tickets, spent €93 per day on food, drink and other items which adds up to over a whopping €2 million! The town council are really pleased with these results as a return on their investment of €150,000 and are keen to point out that the last government lost €1.1 million promoting big concerts in Benidorm.

The only people moaning about the concert were the taxi drivers who couldn't make money fast enough because of the traffic jams in town caused by concert goers!
