The Mayor of Benidorm's Vital Statistics

Navarro gets €4,571.20 a month

There are three stories in today's local paper all concerning the Mayor of Benidorm, Agustín Navarro, and numbers.

As we reported previously he wants to increase the fine for dog owners who allow their pets to foul the streets. It's been announced that he wished to increase it from €150 to €1000!!
 

Following calls from the opposition party, the council have made public the amounts which the mayor and full time councillors receive as salary. Sr Navarro gets €4,571.20 a month, but don't forget, it's a full time job like being the director of a large company, so not an awful lot really.

After 100 days in charge, the new mayor has sent a letter out to every one of the 28,000 dwellings in Benidorm, listing his achievements and calling for the support of the public in improving Benidorm
