environmental friendliness

Benidorm is to have the first electric tourist train in Spain running on its streets! The council have just contracted a specialist company - Trenes Turísticos S.L.U – to run the service which will trundle along from the Poniente side of Benidorm to the Levante area and back.

The train complies with the much stricter European norms regarding environmental friendliness and accessibility for older and disabled passengers. There's no information regarding the fare as yet, but the council say that there will be discounts for residents, over 65's and children.
