Enjoy Benidorm All Year Round

You can enjoy Benidorm's attractions at any time of year.

Given its proximity to the UK - just over two hours by air - it offers what you need, winter, summer and all times in between, so choose when would suit you best.

Elsewhere on this site we've covered topics in detail, but the brief answers below will help you make your choice.

What's the weather like away from high summer?

Pleasantly mild. Mid day temperatures range from 21C in October through to 13C in January. Uniquely - and very happily, Benidorm is sheltered from chillier winds by mountains to the north, east and west. Expect around six hours of sunshine each day in the winter. The photo was taken at the end of November 2003.

What's on by way of night time entertainment in winter?

Plenty. Most central venues which are 'party party' places in summer switch to a varied cabaret scene. It's of a good standard, mostly free, and has something for all tastes. The larger clubs on the outskirts of town are only open during the Summer season. There is a great pub scene though which is open all year round... see

I like a choice. Do many day time bars and cafes remain open?

The vast majority stay open all year round although they may not go on until the wee small hours in the low season.

It's nice to ring the changes. What about safari parks and other things I may want to see? As you'll see from the section 'Things to do', the surrounding areas offer loads of options, and most open all year.
Excursions and Trips

Will it be full of families?

Now, whether that's what you'd prefer to choose or avoid, the option is there. Obviously, Benidorm is a resort with something for everyone all the time. But, if family fun floats your boat then school holiday times and spring through to autumn would be best.

What about winter?

Benidorm is a great destination for people of all ages. And as a special bonus, the best fiestas are held in the 'low' season - a spectacular spectacular.

Are there plenty of flights all year?

Yes. Benidorm is on the mainland, within a short drive of the airport at Alicante, and flights should be readily available.

What's the atmoshere like away from the summer season?

Well, different of course, but just as the summer has its own special attraction, so too does the winter. It's more laid back, feels mellow, and is generally very pleasant. There is certainly no 'ghost town' feel - accommodation enjoys an average occupancy rate of 85% all year.

So now you know. See you soon.
