Have we got a treat for David Hasselhoff's fan! Benidorm is hosting an enormous Knight Rider convention from 9th to 11th May and up to 10,000 fans of the 80's programme from all over Europe and USA are expected to attend.
It's the third such event and around 70 replicas of the famous talking car will be on show in the town.There'll be other famous cars on our streets as well – the Delorean from 'Back to the
Future,' Big Chief Spotlight's Model T Ford and best of all the 1970 Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard. I still have fond memories of Daisy Dook's shorts standing in front of 'The General
Lee!'
In a major coup, the organisers have announced the appearance of José Luis Angulo, yes, THE José Luis Angulo, the Spanish actor who doubled Hasselhoff's voice in the series here in Spain.
Unfortunately Hoff himself won't be here – but he probably wouldn't be fit to drive anyway..........
If you're in Benidorm be sure not to miss the eighth of a mile acceleration contest on the avenida Vicente Pérez Devesa on Saturday when we'll all be burning rubber.
