Benidorm scored an ace when it was awarded the honour of hosting the preliminary rounds of the Davis Cup Tennis competition.

Spain will play Serbia on the 6th to 8th March and there's an added enticement for fans as Rafa Nadal has given a big hint that he'll be participating. After his epic victory in the Australian Open he stated that his number one priority now is to help his country win the Davis Cup.

Work has now commenced in the car park of Terra Mitica where the stadium is rapidly taking shape. It'll hold 16,500 spectators, but if demand is high, the capacity can be increased to 18,000.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow and will cost from €90 up to €350 depending on the location of the seat and can be purchased online from ticktackticket or in person at Carrefour in Benidorm.
