Benidorm Davis Cup Triumph

It's been a great week for Spanish sports teams with Rafa Nadal's tennis stars and Rafa Benitez's Liverpool football heroes both triumphing over foreign opposition. The whole town of Benidorm is cock-a-hoop with the success of the Davis Cup competition.
 
The publicity generated for the town was enormous, journalists representing 300 publications flooded the presses with praise for the facilities and organisation provided by the council and millions tuned in to watch the live matches on the national TV Channel 'La Primera.'

Better still, the hoteliers say that they were on average at 90% capacity during the competition, with the best results in the 4 and 5 star hotels in town. They asked the Mayor to keep up the good work and are looking forward to the Springsteen concert in summer.
