A fantastic hotel if you plan on exploring this wonderful area. The hotel itself is clean, friendly with many amenities whatever the reason for your stay. The food is good, the buffet breakfast had on multiply choices to suit all tastes. The staff were amazing, from simply asking directions to changing a punctured tyre on our car, they just couldnt do enough to assist and always welcomed with a friendly smile and greeting. The rooms are large and airy with fantastic views over the swimming pool and over to the mountains which are truly spectacular when the sun rises or sets. The hotel is perfect and i look forward to my follow-up visit.

Good location for walking or using public transport so you can forget the car for the period of stay. Reception welcoming and efficient. Rather offhand in the Spa area. Should be opened a lot earlier ie 8.0am for the gymn use not 10.0am. Would use the hotel again as good area, Albir enjoyable to explore.

We stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas, first visit to this hotel, really enjoyed our stay.
We chose halfboard, all meals were buffet style loads of choice.
Rooms were really spacious, very clean, no obvious noise from corridors, people talking etc
Staff very polite and helpful, spoke various languages including English
Spa offered special rates for hotel clients, very professional and all areas clean.
We would recommend this hotel to our friends for a Christmas break.

Just back from a week in the Albir hotel and all I have to say is WOW what a beautiful hotel. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful, there was a huge selection of food to choose from each day even for me who would be quite fussy. The pool area was spotless and well supervised at all times. The entertainment in the hotel at night was very good too for both the young and old. The hotel is in a quite area but was just perfect for what we were looking for. I will deffinatly be returing in the future. Great value for money. Keep up the great work.

From a very happy customer x

We have stayed at the Albir Playa hotel many times now and really enjoy the situation. You can walk to Altea along the sea front, you can get a bus into Benidorm at a very reasonable price. Our only disappointment this time was with the evening meal, we thought the quality had gone down,
apart from that we cannot fault the hotel.

From the moment we arrived our experiences with the staff were fabulous. Lovely, helpful, professional. The spa is worth a visit, we managed three visits during our 4 night stay, so I think that speaks for itself.

Plenty of shops and bars, plenty of buses into Benidorm or the quaint town of Altea.

We have been to the Albir Playa Hotel for Christmas for three years. This year we brought along two friends. We were all very satisfied with our visit. The one minor thing was the night time entertainment as we felt it was not to the same standard as previous visits. We hope to see you again in 2011, God willing.

Very quiet when we were there between Christmas and new year, probably due to the bad weather in UK and the airports closed. The hotel was clean and adequate. Restaurant average but not of 4 star quality. Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking in roads near to hotel. 10 minute walk to the beach. We did not use the spa. If we went back to Albir we would probably use this hotel again.

on this our second visit in two years we found nothing had deteriorated the whole hotel is beautifully kept & so clean. the staff are the best so very helpful &the food was really the best we have had in many visits to benidorm.our only complaint is the fact that smoking is still allowed in the entertainment area & this does spoil the evening also the lack of an indoor pool when the weather is inclemant as it was when we were there.we must thank the reviewer who told us about the free parking outside the hotel as there was plenty.we will definately return here & by then hopefully the new no smoking law will be implemented.great hotel well worth the money

We booked the Albir Playa simply because another hotel wanted to charge an additional 50€ per person for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day lunch. We weren't sure what to expect therefore at the Albir. We certainly weren't disappointed! The food was magnificent and plentiful: Having a large Spanish clientel meant that the food catered for all tastes and we thought that 80% was brilliant. Be warned however that you will eat too much! The seafood, on our third night, will be remembered for a long time. The only downside was not being able to reserve a table for eight but we understood the reason for this as the restaurant was very busy.

Staff were brilliantly trained & all really went out of their way to be helpful and were genuinely friendly.

The rooms were well equipped, comfortable and clean. The only down side being our view of the supermarkets BUT that was also very useful!

We were the only ones in our group to visit the spa, because it was 18€ per head [22€ if you weren't staying at the hotel] but this was the icing on the cake for us. We spent well over two hours enjoying the different spas and left feeling energised & refreshed.

Entertainment was nothing special, although, the singer was good, singing a mixture of Spanish & English. A lovely Spanish couple helped us with some salsa steps.

The Albir is situated, in my opinion, on the quieter side of Benidorm and ideally situated for visiting other places.

Would we recommend to others - certainly!

We got a bargain through Spotlight to stay at the Albir Playa for 3 nights over Xmas. We really enjoyed our little break, we have stayed there before but only on bed and breakfast basis, this time we had evening meal also. The food was excellent, there couldn't have been more to choose from, the restaurant staff were efficient as were the reception staff. The hotel is in a good position - all in all very good.

Good Value

Just spent 5 days in the hotel with my wife and elderly mother at a family wedding. Service was excellent, all the staff were helpful and friendly. Food in the buffet wasn't great but for the price well worth it. Would definitely visit again.

A warm friendly hotel

My wife and myself stayed for eight nights and
thoroughly enjoed our stay.
We would recommend this hotel to anybody with one exception - Dont stay here on a diet - the food was marvellous and in abundance.
The staff are very friendly and we would especially commend the bar staff of Teresa and her colleagues.

We have been very content about the cooperation between youre organisation and this hotel. Like we also managnt in the hotel
questionair. Overall a point 9 to 10. So in our opinion it was pretty oké. We only had no diners in the hotel, but breakfest was a 9 to 10 also.
W'll sure to recomment your site and this hotel.

Albir Playa Hotel & Spa is a very good Hotel. It deserves its four stars.
The employees are very nice, very kind and always trying to help us.
The rooms are nice, good space and have nice view (for swimming pool).
Although our “neighbors” were calm and quiet, we could listened almost all of the noises.
The restaurant could be better. When the hotel is full, if we did not go early, we had to wait for a table. (Not very pleasure, for a 4 stars hotel). Food was always the same. After three days we could know what we would have to dinner next day. Drinks are not included.
Although the size (not too big, for so many people) of the swimming pool, it was enough this holydays for the entire host.
The animation is good for a couple with children. Because they play Wii, they sing, they play Bingo, they dance, have a film in the pool, play quiz games, they kind of animation. With children is great, because they like it very much, but for young couples without any child is very boring.
The beach is 800-900m distance. The beach doesn’t have sand, but stones (and not too small!!!).
Benidorm beach is 4 km distance.
The Albir hotel has park for host cars, but we have to pay more. We had always parking outside with no problem.
The spa is very good for relaxing.
In general we like it.
