Having been to Benidorm many times during the past few years we new where the Marina Hotel was, but had never stayed there before.
The first thing you notice is how clean the reception is. Everything shines! The check in was easy and quick. We were a bit put off when we realised we were on the 16th floor but when we saw the view from the balcony we were happy to have that room.
The room was spotless and we were suprised to see that we had two 3/4 beds. the bathroom also was spotless.
The food in the restaurant was well cooked and hot, but we thought that for a 4 star hotel there could have been a bigger choice of dishes. We have found more choice in 3 star hotels. But we always found something to make a meal of.
The Secret Fountain bar is lovely and we had a little flutter in the hotel casino.
Outside the hotel are a large number of bars, restaurants and clubs all within five minutes walking distance.
We would certainly go back to this hotel again.

Had a great stay at the Marina Hotel in May 2011.The hotel
facilities are excellent but need some more brollies around
the pool area.Dining facilities were very good and there was
always an excellent choice of food and always plenty of tables available. The rooms were simple and clean but could do with a slight up-date.In general the prices for food and drinks at the hotel were very competitive and a visit to the Secret Fountain bar is a must. The only downside to the Hotel is that it is very close to the main clubs and bars and the noise at night can be a slight problem.

I went away with my best firend who I do not see too often, due to her living abroad.
I have been to Benidorm many times, and chose this hotel for its location. It was in a very good location indeed, with shops and restaurants right on the door step. The beach was a tiny walk down one road, and was visable form our balcony anyway.
The hotel is very large, and didnt seem crowded at all, which was nice.
The food was nice, but quite limited in choice, not that that bothered me, as i will eat most things, but my companion found the limited choice quite restricting to her tastes.
On the negative side, the lifts do not seem to be very available. They hav eto stop at so many floors on their way up and down, you appear to be waiting a long while at either end.

The hotel was clean and the reception staff friendly. The rooms were on the small side, but on saying that there were three adults and a baby. I think coffee making facilities or at least a kettle would have been useful.
The pool area was clean and there were many sunbeds, not quite so many parasols though. There was a problem of people leaving towels on sunbeds and reserving parasols before going to breakfast. According to a notice in the room advising not too, as staf would remove these items. This never happened though !!!
The food was varied every lunch and evening, it was buffet style and there was something for everyone. The only downside was you could only purchase small bottles of water, which works out extremely expensive, in fact 3 times the cost of 5 litres, for a family of four.
Non of the above really affected the quality or enjoyment of our stay and we would definitely book this hotel again,as the overall package was value for money. It was very relaxing and more of a family and older generation hotel.
It was in very close proximity to the beach, and right in the heart of the bars, and clubs where the variety of entertainment was excellent. Despite the bars being close by it did not infringe on the tranquility of the hotel.

A lovely central hotel. Arrived after midnight and a cold meal was waiting for us, i had emailed the hotel before hand for a particular floor which they honoured.A well managed very clean hotel. Enjoyed the New bar adjoining the Marina called the Secret Fountain a real little sun trap. This is our 6th time in the marina, god willing we will return.

On arrival found that the room booked with a pool view was not given only after complaining was I given the same room booked. The air conditioning was even less than a whisper. The cards continually failed meaning a trek back to reception to re-program them. The lifts were not syncronised properly and there were hardly any tv programmes in english. The food was OK but it's the first hotel where I have had to pay for water with my meals. Otherwise the staff were efficient and courteous, the cleaners did an excellent job, I believe the entertainment was good and the facillities were up to scratch.

Overall excellent. Couple of slight problems, waiting for lifts seemed to take quite a while, we were on floor 15. My friend and I quite fit, so we did the stairs a lot.,but might not be so good for elderly, or infirm people.
Very disappointed with pool area, could not sit there at all during the day, due to the building work qoing on, noise terrible. As we were on a Budget we were incoinvieninced because we had to to to the Beach more often than we would have done, and pay 6 Euros a day each for sun beds and umbrellas.
Otherwise excellent- No yobs staying there.
