WE booked this for friends so we didnt actually stay there.However my friend liked it and would recommend it.The balcony was huge! Swimming pool nice with plenty of sun beds and was a sun trap.Handy for everything but not too close to all the noise.

We have planned our accomodation with Benidorm spotlight for the last 6 or so years and have had no problems at all, any little "hiccups" with the apartments have been sorted - no problem, so booking apartments with them again this year, for our Silver Wedding Celebration holiday, was never a doubt and as usual, no problems. We booked the Aquarium II as this is located in the Area of Benidorm we wanted to stay as our "Silver Wedding Party" was being held in JJ`s Cosmopolitan Bar where Belinda laid on a buffet for us and were joined by some of our family, friends (from home & Benidorm), staff and customers who were in on the night. We had a great night, and the holiday overall was like being on honeymoon. We are looking to come back later on in the year and may stay in the old town but as usual we will book accomodation through Benidorm Spotlight.

THIS WAS OUR THIRTEENTH TIME AT THE ACUARIUM II
AND THAT MUST SPEAK FOR ITSELF.ONCE AGAIN WE SPENT A GREAT FORTNIGHT FROM 24 APRIL TO 8 MAY AND HAVE BOOKED OUR FOURTEENTH HOLIDAY FOR SEPTEMBER. DURING THIS HOLIDAY WE WATCHED THE SWIMMING POOL AND POOL AREA BEING COMPLETELY RENOVATED AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW IT LOOKS WHEN WE RETURN IN SEPTEMBER. TWO THINGS ARE EVIDENT IN THESE OLDER ESTABLISHED APARTMENTS, CONSTANT RENOVATION AND KEEPING THE FLATS UP TO DATE. THIS IS A SHORT REVIEW BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN REVIEWS FOR SEPTEMBER 2008 AND 2009 PLEASE READ THEM AND YOU WILL SEE WHY WE ALWAYS BOOK ACUARIUM II THROUGH SPOTLIGHT. IT IS SO EASY AND WITH ONLY A 20% DEPOSIT YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. WE FOUND THAT, AS EXPECTED FROM OUR PREVIOUS GREAT HOLIDAYS, THAT EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY SO THIRTEENTH TIME WAS STILL LUCKY.

We found the appartment fulfilled our needs for our short stay. Well equiped with three good elevators to get us up and down without too much delay. If English programmed TV were available it might prove popular. We live in Spain and have booked in again for Christmas which is an indication of how we viewed the facility.

This is a follow on from my review of September 2008 Samuel Hannah. There is not a lot more I can add except to say that once again we had a perfect time at AcuariumII in September 20th for two weeks and October 24th for one week in 2009.This was our 12th time there and that must speak for itself. The second week we were up on the 21st floor and the view was just fantastic and it was relly nice and quiet up there. We have been in the habit of going to Mallorca for a couple of weeks in April/May but last year we found prices had risen steeply so this April it will be back to Benidorm and the AcuariumII for the real deal. In my thirty odd times holidaying in Spain I have never got better value for money than the AcuariumII. Please read my previous review which gives much more detail regarding the perfect sighting of these flats which are so handy for all the amenities, I beleive, you will be looking for and the service from the main office on the ground floor is so helpfull and friendly. In these times of recession you will certainly get your monies worth at AcuariumII.

this is the second visit to Acuarium 11 the accommodation is basic but adequate to my needs . There are limited cooking facilities if you do your own which I do not as there are plent of good eating places around. if you want TV or Safe you pay extra but again this is no needed if you go out alot.

stayed at the acuarium 2 apartments for 8 nights in june 09.room was big enough for the two of us.pool area brill,didnt mind the two euros for sunbeds.nice little bar/cafe if u wanted a cold drink or a snack.mad monk pub just outside.food very good,and the beer cheap at the moment.all in all very good.will definately be back.

Stayed in the Acuarium II In June.

The apartments are situated in a quite road just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of central Benidorm.

Plenty of pubs and shops nearby and its not far from the beach

First time iv'e stayed there and loved it.
The rooms are lovely and big,lovely and clean and the balconys are lovely and big too.

We stayed on the 18th floor and had a great view of the pool plus the pool of the Pelicanos.

The pool area was very quite and lovely and clean.
The pools nice and there's a little shop by it too.

Great supermarket over the road for everything you want and a Nice pub underneath the apartments too.

We arrived on a Sunday but had no problems getting the keys.
Had to go to Alpha apartments to book in but its not too far.

If you arrive during the week you can get the keys from the office underneath the apartments.
Staff there are lovely and will sort anything out for you,
We even got told we didnt have to leave the apartment on the Sunday morning but stay till Monday.

Now hows that for service :o)

Paid the breakages deposit by card so didnt have to go back with the keys and get the deposit back, Its paid back into your account.

And the added bonus of 150 euro in your pocket ;o)

If your looking for a very good budget priced apartment then you wont go wrong with the Aquarium II.

I'll be staying there again.

And thank you Benidorm Spotlight for another great holiday in beautiful Benidorm :o)

simple basic accommodation,superbly located behind the indoor market for everything associated with Benidorm.I stayed in a studio on the 18th floor and found it to be perfect for my needs,I do think the room is a squeeze for two people but i was alone and i found it fine.The pool area is in need of some TLC and the price of sunbeds is excessive but all in all you get exactly what you pay for at the AQUARIUM II and that is good basic accommodation a more than reasonable price.I HAD READ that the company was a little shy in returning the deposit but mine was back in my account within a couple of days on return.

This is our 3rd time in the Acuarium II Apartments and when we come to Benidorm again we will look at these appartments first. We arrived a little earlier this year (april/may its normally may/june) & the pool was closed for a couple of days also the tennis courts were unavailable but what made it interesting was one of the courts was being used for catering for the cast of the tv comedy "Benidorm" so we did not mind as watching from our balcony was interesting. We were in apt. 1H and although slightly smaller than some of the other 1 bedroom apts. it suited us, (2adults & 1 child), and would ask for it again as we always request a low floor.
The usual breakages deposit had gone up from £50 to 150euros so I used my visa card to pay this so you are not too much out of pocket than if you pay by cash and dont have to wait for it on the last day, it gets refunded to your card, (provided you dont break anything).
So once again we had another great holiday and look forward to the next with the same companies & appartments.

Hi,we stayed at the aquarium 2 appartments from the 19th december to the 9th of january 2009.We had a studio as there was only the 2 of us.The studio was ample big enough with a massive balcony,it was facing the sea so we had the sun all day.We would definatley use again,and would recommend.The only thing we would NOT BOOK is A 2 B Shuttle Transfers again.We got to the resort ok with them.But when it came to going home they never turned up to get us back to the airport.This was 3.30 in the morning and we had to get a taxi much to our disgust which cost us 75 euros.So Beware of the shuttle otherwise it was great.

we were satisfied with the apartments there were two problems which wre quickly resolved we would recommend these apartments to anyone who was looking for budget accommodation any floor above16 would be better as you get a sea view over the buildings opposite We are going there again on the9 feb for aweek & the rates are the same as in november &are looking foreward to it as it isquiet not too far from all the ameneties

Having visited Benidorm several times this was my first time at the Acuarium. The apartment itsself was very compact but very clean and the maid service was first class. No complaints on the actual apartment. The only gripe i had was the loungers by the pool, they were paid for by the day, and that meant 6 euros a day for my group to have a lounger, over 14 days this worked out an unexpected expence. Otherwise i thoroughly enjoyed my holiday, especially Jenny's bar directly opposite the apartments. Jenny came across when we were dropped off and explained the where a bouts of the collection point as no one was avaliable to inform me of this. She was truly a star. The apartment all in all were was i was expecting for a budget apartment and i will definately be returning next year.

Our two holidays in October 2008 was our tenth time at AcuariumII having first stayed there in October 2000. We know a good deal when we get one. Although the apartments are basic they are very clean and the Maid service is excellent. Over the years we have seen the complete refurbishment of the kitchen with new kitchen units and the installation of three brand new lifts.There is always an adequate supply of hot water with an individual tank
in each apartment. The balcony is very big with plenty of room for the outside furniture with a great deal of privacy. The location is ideal with a fine Supermarket across the street, the tobacconist and off sales across from it and plenty of places with good food for those wanting to eat out. For thse who like the football, just five minutes away, there are plenty of Bars with all the English and Scottish games to view. The large indoor Market is just round the corner and the huge outdoor Market Wednesday and Sunday is three minutes walk away. The prmenade is easily reached by a five minute walk for those who like the beach. A large swimming pool with a small pool for children is pleasently situated at the back of AcuariumII and with the main office at the entrane door any problems are sorted out right away. In our many times in the main land of Spain and Mallorca we have never found better value for money than AcuariumII.

we have now been to the acuarium apts 5 or 6 times.we find them basic and clean.they are well situated with the indoor market,supermarkets,shops and bars all nearby.the only downside is that there is no reception,so if you arrive after office hours you have to get a taxi to the alpha apts to collect your keys.we are hoping to go back to the acuarium next year

What more can I say?
We have stayed at the Acuarium now about eight times and we cannot fault the convenience of the location, the service and the value for money offered.
We will be there again at the end of December so Happy Christmas to you all!!!

stayed here in october 2008. just the 2 of us. found the price really reasonable. stayed on the 18 floor. great view from the balcony, sun arrived on it around 3pm and was there for the rest of the day, great sea views and overlooking the best pool in benidorm, shame it belonged to the sol hotel next door but we used it all week no questions asked. The rooms are clean and of a ok standard, beds are great, facilities are fine just done expect any maid service. they also do a bus service to the airport for 12.00 each.

Stayed her during September 2008. Great location close to most things. Appartment basic but clean but extremly reasonably priced. Pool area clean daily and always a guard on duty. Reported a fault one morning and it was sorted with a few hours. Reception staff at office extremly pleasant and helpful. We had a lovely view from the 17th floor. i have recommened this appartment to my family who plan to visit benidorm summer 09. if i was going to benidorm again i would definetly stay here as the accommodation is not expensive compared to other appartments of that size. We had a studio appartment for two people and it was more tahn adquate with plenty of storage use. The balcony was also large enough for at least four people.

arrived 11 june 2008 weather magnifico for three week.we were a little disappointed with the cost and quality of the food in some restaurants but would recommend the grand national.good portions and quality.we would stay at the acuarium ii anytime.good value and helpful staff.

aquarium 2 read reviews of this hotel before we left so was bit apprehensive,but hotel was what you paid for rooms where clean,basic equipment,good showers,so overall room was ok,did think that you got charged 2euros for sun bed want needed,most people complaints was getting the keys late on having to go somewhere else lucky we had good taxi driver who took us to other place and brought us straight back did see people dropped off late on looking a bit lost and not sure what to do think this could be better delt with,we left 100euros depoist left when officers where closed but recived cheque bavk home within the week so that was good so if you on budget there overall is no problems with this hotel you could requist lower floor as the apartments do go up to 22floors

myself and my partner have now stayed in these apartments 3 or 4 times.we find the location to be excellent with all of our needs close by, wether it is bars, the beach,or nightlife.The apartments,although basic,are clean and secure and we feel they are good value for money.

We have been staying in Benidorn for many years now and we much prefer the freedom that self catering provides. The Aquarium II apartments are situated in an ideal part of Benidorm - close to all the amenities and only a short bus ride to the centre of the resort.
Since our last visit in May 2008, we have now booked another holiday for October 2008. This, I think, will be about our 7th stay at the Aquarium II apartments.
I do not wish to patronise any of the staff at Benidorm Spotlight, but we have always found them extremely helpful, courteous and pleasant - oh and by the way, they do enjoy English chocolates!!

I stayed at Acuarium II apartments with my 17 year old daughter from 27th May 08 to 2nd June 08 and must admit that I was apprehensive about our choice of accomodation after reading several other reviews. But I can honestly say that our studio apartment was very clean and tidy and we had a fantastic view from our 16th floor balcony (when I got used to it!!!). Thankfully the lifts worked perfectly!! During our 6 days the towels were changed once, not sure what happens if you're there longer. We were aware that we needed to collect our keys from the Alpha apartments because we arrived after 19:30, they are only a 10 minute walk away, so we arranged for our transport to drop us and collect us from there. My only very small complaint was that I didn't like having to pay by the pool for a sunlounger, which we did only once, and the rules for the pool are a little strict, so I can imagine it's not much fun for families with children (no inflatables in the pool? BORING!!), my children used to love them!! But didn't let that bother us, and went to the beach instead, much more fun!! Acuarium II apartments are absolutely fine for a budget break/holiday and in a great location and would stay there again.

The studio accommodation was ideal for our 2 persons' 4 night stay. I was delighted with the kitchenette facilities, an unexpected bonus.The location is perfect, on the fringe of all the action but almost no noise at night.Simply VALUE FOR MONEY. Great view from our 18th floor. Apartments very clean and exceeded our expections as first time we had used them - would use apartments again and would also recommend to friends. Basic but central and clean. Reported faulty toaster at 10.30 am and at 12.15 pm new toaster delivered to our apartment!!

stayed at acuarium 2 in sept. there were 6 of us in 3 apartments but all on different floorswe asked to put us all on same floor but were told no. apartments were ok and not too far from everything. great bar across road called spooks go there if you can.would stay there again.the only drawback was going to pick keys up at alpha apartments if you came in late like 7.00pm evan though office is next door and the 150euros deposit which is a lot to fork out when you go to pick keys up.will be going back to benidorm in april 08 but not sure if staying here plenty of choice thou
