The Alameda is in a really good location in Benidorm - a quiet street with no traffic and right in the heart of the Old Town. It is just a minute's walk from the beach and there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and our room had everything we needed, including a balcony where we could sit in comfort. The roof terrace is perfect for sunbathing or relaxing away from the crowds. Although the facilities are basic rather than luxurious, the Alameda is good value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing we were not happy with was the food as the meals were not very interesting. However, there was always fresh fruit and also a selection of salads, so we managed to find something to eat each evening. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Small friendly hotel, well situated for all that Benidorm Old Town has to offer, food generally on the cooler side of warm with limited choice and catering mainly for the spanish pallet, staff very friendly and approachable, rooms basic but spotlessly clean, on the whole good value for money hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this hotel. Fair to say it's rather basic - small lift and no swimming pool but the staff could not have been more helpful. Our heartfelt thanks to the chef especially, who prepared special meals for me once he knew I am vegetarian, and seem to take pride in the presentation and my appreciation of his efforts.

The Reception staff were also extremely helpful, and it has to be noted that at the weekend the hotel was very lively (our off-season stay began rather quietly) with a large influx of Spanish guests having a nice weekend at the coast. If the local people use the hotel, what better sign of a good hotel do you need.

We will certainly be booking the Alameda again for our stay next time we're in Benidorm.

We were at the Alameda Hotel for Xmas & New Year 2008/9, and had a wonderful holiday. the thing we liked about this hotel was that there was no gala dinners or lunches, which we find tiresome. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very spaciaous with a lovely terrace overlooking the sea, albeit over the rooftops, bit very pleasant. The food was not very interesting, but managed to find something to eat every night, and it was all very well presented.
We would centainly go back to this hotel, and it's location in the middle of the old town was excellent.

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Alameda - great location if you like the old town, which we do, with plenty going on close at hand. We very much enjoyed the food which was like Spanish home cooking (though not the taste of all Brits) and aimed at the almost entirely Spanish clientel - in all a very Spanish holiday and not at all the usual "Brit Package Holiday" image of this resort.
