The Albir Playa is a very comfortable hotel, clean and tidy with the pool and gardens well looked after. Unlike hotels in Benedorm the staff do not speak much english but you can usually get by. We went a little out of season in April and Albir is pretty quiet at that time but we were visiting family in Albir so entertainment was not a problem. Th local bus (no 10) is only 1.20 euros to benedorm and runs till late at night so getting in and back is easy. WE were B&B so have no experience of main meals but the breakfasts were up to a decent standard and the resteurant was never busy All in all a pretty good experience

The hotel was informal with friendly staff. The rooms were very well furnished and kept exceptionally clean. We found the beds to be really comfortable.
Our room looked out towards Calpe and the views were splendid.
We were on Half board basis with breakfast and evening meal and thought the standard of food was generally very good with a fair range of choices.
We stayed at the hotel in mid March and were disappointed that the spa facility was closed during our stay and that the swimming pool was not heated and bone chillingly cold, however the pool area was very well laid out and landscaped.
Although the hotel was situated in a central location, we expected it to be closer to the beach as the name implied, but were surprised to find it about a kilometer away.
Car parking in the hotel was too expensive but it was possible to park in the road nearby.
Overall we found the hotel to be modern and minimalistic with a stunning lobby area and was excellent value for money, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Very good hotel, We've stayed before. This year we were disappointed because we were unaware the spa facilities were being re-built and so were unavailable. Hence, my low score for the facilities. Other than this, I can thoroughly recommend the hotel.

We would strongly recommend the Albir Playa Hotel to all our friends. We had a most pleasant stay there over the Christmas period. The staff were a joy to deal with, so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the entertainment each evening. The choice and quality of food was first class and we enjoyed every meal.
We did not give top marks to facilities because some areas were closed for renovation, but we must state that this was well flaged during booking and we have absolutely no complaint about this.
The reason for not giving full marks to rooms was that the safe was not working, but again we had alternatives and we do accept that it was Christmas holiday period and so it would have been difficult to access professional assistance when we reported it.
The two minor problems did not take away from our most enjoyable holiday in a lovely hotel in a beautiful area.
We look forward to another good time in the Albir Playa in the near future
Thank you for a lovely experience, our only regret was 'it was too short' but we will remedy this next time

I found the hotel and staff excellent although we were in a group of 8 ladies myself and daughter did not use the pool facilities and the other ladies did think that it was a bit cramped and that the poolside food was not that good. But I am sure this will be rectified as I said we could not fault the hotel and staff. We spent a long weekend at this resort and would recommend it as a really good place to chill out which is why we were there. Still hit Benidorm though for only 1 euro bus ride in and taxi home when to late for bus what an excellent service. Thanks to the hotel for a great stay.

Lovely hotel. B & B basis. No need to get up early for sun beds, had our pick! pool area gorgeous! rooms clean, modern and spacious. Bathroom - shower over bath with a screen - no curtain!!!rnSituated near to everything.Would recommend eating out at Transilvania 20 euros for 3 course plus wine for 2,excellent value.rnAltea 30 min walk worth a visit. Plenty bars, restaurants nearby, only 1 euro on bus into benidorm. Fantastic holiday.Going back to Albir Playa next year!

Absolutely Fantastic! My girlfriend and i (both 18) went for a week at the beggining of the month and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. rnrnThe hotel is luxury and for the price we payed their is possibly not a better hotel in the world. the staff are friendly although don't all speak good english but after all you are in spain. The buffet breakfast was very appetising and had a very big selection of food. The hotel bar is expensive compared to the rest of the town but the price of dinner in most resturants is so cheap that you can afford to splash out on a drink from time to time. The pool is fantastic and safe as there is a life guard patroling. Unlike most hotels you dont have to get up early to put a sunbed down as there are plently of sunbeds. There is evening entertainment to enjoy and during the summer months is outdoors so if you have a pool view (which i would strongly reccommend) you can watch the entertainment from your balcony like we did. The rooms are great, very comfortable and well equipped. rnrnThe town is very attractive and has quite a few resturants, not a huge amount of nightlife but it depends what type of holiday you want. El Gringo is a fantastic place to eat for lunch, lovely food at a very resonable price. The beach is only about a 10 minute walk away and although is a pebble beach is still beautiful. There are plently of beachside bars to stop and have a drink at. rnrnOverall a fabulous holiday, we will definatley go back someday as we really enjoyed it. The hotel is very impressive and deserves it's 4 star status. The perfect holiday for a couple.

a lovely hotel but let down by building work going on at the front of the hotel starting at 7am every morning! not what you want on holiday when all you want to do is relax and have a lie in. We were also woken up at 1am by a lorry delivering laundry, and on some scrap land just to the side of the hotel were some vagrants sleeping rough, which was a bit un-nerving! food was good, pool is lovely, not much to do in the resort. We will not use this hotel again.... far too noisey ,no consideration for guests.

Stayed at the Albir Player for 1 week in January 06 Quality of the rooms were very good and the cleanlines very good however maid service very slow in cleaning the rooms often not cleaned until mid afternoon.Pool side space limited which could cause problems in summmer months. Food excellent wide choice and good quaility. Resort very good and the many delights of Benidorm are only a short drive away.Smoker beware this is a non smoking hotel. Will certainly return to the Albir Player

Where am I?
