WE HAD A LOVELY TIME YET AGAIN AT THE CASTILLA HOTEL,AND WE JUST LOVE BENIDORM.
WE ASKED FOR A LOW FLOOR AND POOL VIEW BUT DID NOT GET IT DESPITE ME SAYING THAT MY WIFE IS AFRAID OF LIFTS AS WE WERE TRAPPED IN ONE BEFORE.PEOPLE WHO HAD BOOKED AFTER US WERE ASSURED OF A LOW FLOOR AND POOL VIEW.BUT ABOVE ALL WAS SPOTLIGHTS FAILURE TO NOTIFY ME OF BUILDING WORK BEING CARRIED OUT IN FRONT OF THE CASTILLA,THE NEW CULTURAL BUILDING.IT WAS OUR 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND OUR FRIENDS 30TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY I THOUGHT THE CASTILLA WOULD HAVE MADE A BIT OF A FUSS OVER THE WOMEN A BUNCH OF FLOWERS A BOWL OF FRUIT OR A BOTTLE OF CHEAP WINE SOMTHING BUT ALAS NOTHING.

The Staff and Hotel were lovely, the only draw back was that they are building a community centre on the land on the other side of the road, and the pile driving started every morning at about 7.45 am !! - and finished around about 6pm. Lorry loads of soil was moved all day with fleets of lorries, and the noise was terrible. No where on any site was this mentioned they are only building the foundation at this point, so I presume it will go on all summer, which is a shame because the hotel was very nice. The entertainment was more for the dancing crowd but because of the position of the hotel you are only 5 minutes from the square and all the entertainment, or 10 minutes from the seafront and 10 to 15 minutes from the old town, so that isn't a problem. If you want a really nice evening meal try Hogwarts which is down the yellow brick road, just down the side of the hotel into the second street towards the sea - The special menu was about 12 euros, but worth every penny, the steak was amazing, and the selection of vegetables was well cooked, and nicely presented, the staff were very attentive and worth tipping. Would go back to the hotel but maybe when they have finished the building work !
