We stayed in the Cimbel Hotel and it an excellent Hotel, always very clean and the hotel staff were very good and always helpful. If i was being picky i would say that the food is not to everyones tastes as it is always AL-a-Carte which does get a bit much after a while. We ate out a few times and it was a change but the position of the hotel is perfect in every way. fabulous views of the beach from nearly all rooms. Great stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at hotel Cimbel, the staff were very good the food was excelent (but not English) and rooms very clean and tidy. I was able to relax knowing that if I wanted anything the staff were only to happy to help everytime, which made the holiday more enjoyable.

Visited October 2007. Fabulous location, all rooms facing the sea although got quite hot in the afternoon and the aircon was not available.Quality of food was good although personally prefer buffet style then you can choose quantity. No fresh orange juice at breakfast, you had to pay supplement.Pool area excellent, plenty of sun or shade.Staff friendly and helpful.Rooms very clean and adequately equipped.Used underground car parking facility - price in line with other hotels.Would definitely use hotel again.

Our only complaint was with the food. With the meals being chosen from a set menu there was little choice or variety for the likes of vegetarian meals and in some cases none.

Have been to Benidorm several times but have never, until this year, found the right accommodation in the right place. The Cimel was the perfect choice this year, on the Levante Beach and within a short walk of the Old Town From the reception staff to the waiters and cleaners everyone was pleasant and helpful. The whole hotel was kept spotlessly clean and the bedrooms cleaned everyday. The view from the balcony, 9th floor, was breathtaking. The only, minor, shortcoming was the meals these were a little lacking in variety and portions seemed a little on the small side. Otherwise the perfect place to stay and I hope to book for there again next year

I was impressed by the hotel facilities, location and overall standard.
I read the reviews on the food prior to arrival and in retrospect can understand why they were written, though they are perhaps a little harsh.
Basically, this is a Spanish hotel for Spaniards. Anyone expecting British fare will be disappointed, particularly for meals like tradional British breakfast - it doesn't happen. However, the quality of the cuisine was good.
The evening entertainment was a bigger disappointment - unless you like dancing - pre rock n'roll.
Only one other complaint -and it doesn't just relate to this hotel - the abuse of guests reserving sunbeds and often not even using them for several hours. The practise should be stopped

When i arrived at the cimbel i was most impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the room itself was excellent. My only concern was that the evening meals which were served by waiters was sometimes cold & usually rushed as well. Would have been abit better had it been a buffet service instead. My last evening was also ruined because there was some confusion by the restaurant manager who thought i'd checked out of my room earlier which led to a delay with my main meal, which was the wrong one, when it eventually arrived, another error by one of the waiters. I did complain to the duty manager who assured me he would have a word the the guily party. Apart from that, i had a lovely holiday, and i do hope certain people at the cimbel will act upon reading my comments. Who know's, i may stay there again in the near future. Hasta Manana

The HOTEL CIMBEL wasn't the best hotel I have stayed at in Spain but for cleanliness it couldn't be faltered.
I have always wanted to stay at this hotel. Overlooking that beach, and only a short walk from the old town in one direction and the night life in the other.
Being English was not advantageous, at this Hotel, as the staff did not appear too friendly at the beginning. Ordering a cup of tea, when we first arrived, proved a nightmare. Even ordering in Spanish did not help. After the first week they did warm to us and couldn't do enough during the second week.
This hotel was predominantly occupied by Europeans. Spanish, French, Italians, Germans and Dutch speaking. The lift's were like entering the United Nations, you needed to say 'good morning' in at least six languages.
Breakfast, being my meal of the day, was also dissapointing. As, again, the hotel only appeared to cater for Europians. I am a full 'english breakfast' person and this was definitely not in evidence.
After stating this, the only real complaint I registered with the hotel was the lack of an English channel on the TV. In the literature provided in the room, channel 16 should have been 'Englise'. It was in fact Dutch. Out of 99 satellite channels only one was in English, CNN News. My partner would have liked the opportunity to have watched some English TV, whilst she waited for me to shower or whatever. I did complain to the concierge about the TV, on our third day but after two weeks we still had no 'Englise' channel.
Disregarding the above, my partner asked a week after getting home if I would stay at this hotel again ? YES was my immediate reply.

this hotel has the most stuning views looking over the sea, as we were on holiday in march it was quiet, and had no trouble getting the lifts as we were on the 10th floor, the rooms were spotless and very smart, we are going back to benidorm in june . as the nighlife is great we have been a few times, but there is so much to do and see.
as i am nearly 50 it great for the young and old, my son came with us with his friend . and he can not wait to return,he never got in till six in the morning,he is 19 and enjoyed the night clubs. yes it was great.

The Cimbel was very comfortable and smart in the lobby areas. We had requested a superior room and whilst we had a partial sea view and a large bedroom, bathroom and a separate dressing room we thought the decor was a little dull. We tried the breakfast just the once & decided not to bother after that - slightly dissapointing. Staff were very good and overall we enjoyed our stay (3 out of 5)

Where am I?
