We had an excellent holiday and the DOn Pancho definately suited us. It allowed us to experience a relaxing holiday which we needed and we will definately be returning there in the near future

It is difficult to fault this Hotel. The only thing that niggled a bit was that they did not tell us when we checked in that there was a safe available in our room and, if we wished to use it, they would provide a key, for a nominal deposit.

Consequently, we got to our room on the 12th floor and only then discovered the safe and we had to traipse all the way back down again to request the key and pay the deposit.

Otherwise, this hotel gets full marks from us and we shall use it again.

I would recommend Don Poncho as my wife and I stayed there for our 25th anniversary in April 08.We hope to go back there next year again without the kids :)
Don Poncho is close to the bars and beach that’s all we needed.

We stayed at the Don Pancho hotel in late February 2008.
An excellent hotel with exceptional service.The rooms are a little dated but well maintained by friendly staff.
The restaurant serves a good choice of food with plenty of tables and good service.The quality of food was generally good although some vegetables were obviously "tinned", maybe it was out of season.
Entertainment is almost exclusively geared to the more mature local clientelle although there are plenty of alternatives nearby.
The location is excellent, near to all amenities and the beach , and a pleasant 20 minute walk into the old town, although there is a bus stop outside.
It is certainly a Hotel that we would use again, especially in winter,when the fairly limited pool area was not in great demand. Could be an altogether different situation in high season!!
A good point also was the very reasonable price of drinks in the Bar for this category Hotel. The bar is a very pleasant place for after dinner drinks, before looking outside for entertainment. Note that,if you stay in the hotel Dance bar there is a two tier pricing system with "normal"bar prices only available to hotel guests if you charge them to your room.(This is made very clear by the Hotel).
Overall a very enjoyable experience staying at the Don Pancho.

Food first class except on Christmas Day. They tried so hard but it just didn't work, very disappointing. Also unable to get a coffee from the bar on the same floor as the restaurant, meaning we had to go to the bar downstairs and were not allowed to take it upstairs, (which I can understand) therefore unable to get a seat to enjoy the entertainment.

I would go back but definately not at Christmas.

We had a very nice time at the Don Pancho Hotel. We would like to have rated the food higher. It was alright but we would have liked a little more variety in the menu.
The staff in all departments were extremely helpful, courteous and efficient.
We would not hesitate to stay there again and will recommend it to our friends.

We were at the Don Pancho for our Christmas break,whilst everything else was very good the Christmas dinner was a let down to an otherwise perfect time.The dinner, which compared to our dinner last year at another hotel in Benidorm, was nowhere near as good or served in a reasonable time. We waited for quite a while between every course,after others had been served, for our meals and wine. And to be honest it was,nt as good as every other meal that we had .That was the only taint to an otherwise really great Christmas period.

My wife and i spent the Christmas holiday 2007, four days. Everything was very nice, food excellent, except for the compulsary Gala Christmas Dinner, it was the lowest standard Christmas Dinner, in quality, quantity,presentation and the most expensive meal we have ever purchased, a real disapointment. However all other meals were excelent.

We have visited Benidorm at least 10 times over the past 6 years - probably more, staying at various hotels some 3 star some 4 star and we consider the Don Pancho superior to the others, and will definitely stay there again when we next visit Benidorm

Nice hotel good food, and location. The only fault was, in the hotel dance floor. whereby the local gents would use this facility at our expence and pick the best tables and seats and wait for their "lady friends" to arrive leaving paying guest at times standing.rnAs the hotel is open to none residence, anyone can use the lifts to any floor of the hotel unchallanged, knowing that most guest are out in the evening rn

This is our fourth visit to The Don Pancho in two years. We've been in January April & June and now October for the first time. The hotel is in an excellent location for leisurely walks along the beach to the old town in the morning and for an evening stroll along the attractive and well lit prom after an excellent dinner. We always go DB&B and have had not a single complaint in all mthe visits. All the staff are very friendly with a special mention to the dining room team.Really looking forward to our fortnight at The Don Pancho.rnPS These TV programmes about Benidorm are not the Benidorm we know.

A hotel that is trading on a past repution. With an impressive reception area it really is quite deceptive, you think you are entering a really plush hotel. The overall impression is one that is positive. We were travelling with two children, having had to book late on, we paid adult prices and needed two rooms. We were offered no assistance on arrival and despite asking for two rooms next door were offered two, three apart. This was changed quickly. The rooms are very clean but very old fashioned in the 80s you would have been really quite pleased. The rooms are very small and were designed by a man, there is no chance of doing your hair! The pool is really disappointing, we knew it would be small but it is really really small with tiles coming off in the children’s pool. The service is okay but not as promoted in the brochures and the food is okay but not to the standard of a 4 star hotel more 3 star! The entertaininment is geared to local people who come in for the odd hour to the first floor bar, it is a bit spooky and strange. If you need to book for a family, it isn’t ideal more suited to people 60 and above.

Visited Benidorm for the first time ever in May 2007. Can't praise the Don Pancho Hotel too highly.rnFood, absolutely first class in selection, quantity, and presentation. Accomodation the same.Daily cleaning services including sheets and top covers. Staff top drawer, obliging and pleasant.Could not have a better location if I'd built it myself.rnAlready booked in for October, can't wait to get there.rnThis is what holidays are about.

Don pancho is a fantastic hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The day we arrived was our daughters 21st birthday so we were given a bottle of champagne in a ice bucket with our evening meal. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The restaurant staff were very friendly nothing was to much for them, as there were five of us they made sure we had a table all together. The maids made our beds and cleaned our rooms daily and they were very friendly too. The hotel is perfectly located, only a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and clubs (although absolutely no noise can be heard from the nightclubs and bars). Food is superb with a good variety every meal time. We will definitely go back again it was a wonderful holiday!

The first year I went to stay at Don Pancho 2 years ago I had been there one night and the next day i broke my foot in four places, the staff where great they did all they could for me so we went back the next year and it was fantastic couldn't find a thing wrong we are going again this year. The food and service is the best we have had in Benidorm, we have stayed in a few hotels but this is the best

I visit at least once a year and always look forward to coming back for the sheer pampering of this lovely hotel. Never had cause to complain about anything in the last eight years and if you are coming to Benidorm and can afford it, forget The Cymbal,Agir or Belroy, The Don Pancho is the place to be. although showing a few signs of wear and tear The Don Pancho still represents fantastic value for money.The buffet breakfast + dinner are more than worth the cost of accomodation + when buying drinks in the Hotel you dont feel as though you been overcharged.. All in all you could do a lot worse than staying at the Don Pancho and i would definitely go again !!!

THIS WAS OUR SECOND VISIT TO DON PANCHO AND ALL OF OUR EXPECTATIONS WERE SUPASSED,THE SERVICE WAS BRILLIANT AS WAS THE FOOD THE RECENT BAN ON SMOKING IN THE HOTEL BARS IS VERY WELCOME WHY NOT EXTEND IT TO THE ENTIRE HOTEL?? NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN.
