A great little hotel,in the old town. Round the corner from the Tapas bars, with wooden barrel tables. basic accomadation, our room had a kitchenet in but clean and functional.Shower was fine, the room had its own boiler so the water was allways hot. Pleasant bar on ground floor. We were on the 3rd floor with access via a narrow staircase, so not suitable if your bad on your legs. Breakfast is a bread roll & jam with coffee & orange juice. All in all a great little hostel that is good value for money, bang in the old town. If you want a pool and reception and lifts etc book a big hotel. if you want a cheap bed in the old town this is fine .We will stop here again.

The Irati is very clean, cheap, it has good free wi fi all over the building and is very close to the beach, bars and restaurants in the Old Town. Breakfast is a toasted roll with butter and jam, juice and tea or coffee and is served after 10am. We were at the back of the hotel (hostal really doesn't do it justice) and overlooked a small piece of wasteland. We had no balcony and the room was very basic, which we expected, it had a good fridge with a freezer compartment too. There was a normal shower, which was good but not like the power ones advertised and there was no shelf of hook anywhere. There was no safety deposit box, the flat screen tv had no English speaking channels. Towels are only changed twice a week, there was nowhere shake them out or dry them and there was no mat to stand on, but all in all so far so good for the money we paid. But a few things really did spoil our holiday - we asked for an extra key as we do sometimes come home separately and as the reception and door closes around midnight it meant the later person would be locked out. Also, the only night's sleep we got was on Monday when the bar opposite our room (on the other side of the wasteland) closed. Other nights it closed at 4.30 am and the customers would stand outside chatting all night till around 5am when they said their loud farewells. The rooms at the front were quiet though and I am sure we would have had a lovely stay if we had been at the front of the Irati.

Stayed in the 'penthouse' suite (also known as the attic room) and loved it!!! Lovely spatious room with lounge area, kitchen area and en suite bathroom and the added bonus of a sun terrace. Room was very clean and comfortable and modern looking. We paid extra for the penthouse rather than a room but it was well worth it. All staff very friendly and accommodating. Close to the shops, restaurants and beaches. Will definately book there again if we return to Benidorm.

Location of this Hostal is excellent - you can walk out into the shops/ bars / restaurants of the old town Benidorm and just around the corner is the beach. We thought it may be a bit noisy at night, but this was not the case. Very quiet. Staff were extremely helpful. Although only a small hostal and the rooms basic, it is very clean and tidy with everything you need.

What a fantastic find! Very good value for money and perfectly located in the old Town, ideal for the beaches, bars and night-life. Good sized rooms with air-con and a fridge and helpful and friendly proprietors. We would be pleased to go back again, thanks Benidorm Spotlight!

Just stayed at the Irati for one night but found it extreamly friendly, spotlessly clean and were welcomed very kindly by our hosts. If you want somwhere that is very good value, cosy and freindly and not big and brash in Benidorm the Irati is the place for you.

What can I say about the Irati Hostal!! Gabriel and Kristin are the perfect hosts. They make you feel at home and are very friendly and accommodating. They will serve you more or less anything you request for breakfast (with notice). Just for a snack we asked for a pizza one day, one pizza with two halfs of different flavours. Absolutely lovely. Homemade of course. The rooms are spotlessly clean with fridges and tv's in each. It is in a very convenient location for the 'Old Town' of Benidorm near the small harbour. We only stayed for two nights and the only problem we had was car-parking. We had to keep feeding the meter every two hours. On the second evening we found somewhere where we didn't have to pay. I would certainly recommend the Irati Hostal.
