I have stayed at the Mayna before, always welcoming, this is a typical spanish run hotel so if your looking for a fun filled hotel this is not the place for you:(

The food is also spanish based so be aware...not chips at every meal...
The rooms are basic but very clean and tidy, maid comes in every day etc.

Also be aware there's NO POOL but you've not paid for it in the price.

GREAT LOCATION AND REASONABLE VALUE FOR MONEY
ONLY HAD THE BREAKFAST, PLENTY OF CHOICE INCLUDING COOKED V GOOD ! CLEAN COMFORTABLE ROOM LOTS OF HOT WATER. UNFORTUNATELY THE DESK STAFF WERE NOT VERY FRIENDLY, NEVER GOT A SMILE OR ASKED HOW MY STAY WAS GOING OR IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THEY HELP ME WITH, WHEN I CHECKED OUT ALL I GOT WAS, OK !!! NOT EVEN A GRASIAS POR SU LOS VISITAS - ALL THE SAME I HAD A GREAT TIME IN BENIDORM AND WILL BOOK WITH YOU AGAIN

Stayed at the Mayna Xmas & New Year for 11 nights.After reading other reviews it was as we expected.If not better.The rooms were lovely,airy,spacious and clean.We read that the food was typically Spanish which we were prepared for as we have stayed in many Spanish hotels before.The food was a let down.We never tried a breakfast but the evening meal was very bland and unapetising.We did eat it some nights and it filled the gap!!It didn't matter what time we went for tea we always had to wait outside the dining room for tables to become available.Our room was at the rear of the hotel which overlooked a small bar which was quite noisy and we were never home early!
Would we stay here again?? Yes we would. For the price we payed and the quality of the room it was very good value.I don't think I would eat there but for what it costs you could easily eat out every day.Overall I wouldn't let this review put you off and as I said before I would use it again.Give it a try it shouldn't disapoint it does everything it says on the tin!!!A nice clean hotel at a very affordable price..........
