The hotel was clean, modern and had a great pool. The food was good and varied. The staff were helpful and kind. I would definately use the Melia group again.

Room wasn't clean on arrival and not done very well but the food was absolutely fantastic!! The staff in the dining room were very efficient and helpful. Reception always had a queue but they were helpful and efficient. Only complaint really was the different facilities, gym etc were not open at convenient times and the pool closed very early. Would definitely go again. Very good value. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay, which was our third visit to this hotel and will very likely be going there again. Our only criticism is that although the food is plentiful and of a pretty high standard, we found some of the vegetables to be over cooked and soggy.

My girlfriends and I stayed at the Melia Hotel Benidorm for 3 nights in March. The staff were very helpful giving us 5 rooms on the same floor. The faciliies were excellent - breakfast was fantastic with it never being too busy and a vast amount of choice. The only sticking point was when we wanted a table for 11 people on our first night and they tried to seat us separately. We re-arranged the tables ourselves and were rewarded with a couple of bottle of sparkly as an apology.
I would recommend this hotel and intend on staying there again.

We stayed in the Melia for a couple of nights 14/15 Feb 2008. Great location and our room on the 15th floor was excellent. Spotlessly clean, great bathroom, spectacular views. However, the hotel was very noisy and soundproofing not what you would expect in a four star hotel - furniture being dragged around, heels clip-clopping on marble floors, lots of laughing and shouting in corridors in the small hours - many British people were complaining at breakfast and said that reception staff had been very unhelpful about it. Also, we felt that the food was definitely not four star standard. Huge queues to get in the dining room and not enough staff to cope with the number of guests. Very crowded and poorly designed dining room made the buffets difficult to access and the hot food was not very appetising nor very warm (same problem at breakfast) - we ate out in Calpe on the second night. Would certainly not recommend this hotel.

Really good hotel the food was fine with a great choice, the only thing we could have wished for, was tea and coffee being served at dinner as there was always a good selection of cakes on the sweet counter, well a nice cake without a cup of tea????? suppose being too English here. Take a travel kettle if you like a cup of tea in your room (too English again)there is a small fridge in the room well minibar really, the old fashioned type so you can put your own drinks in.Location of the hotel is fine up in the Rincon De Loix area far enough away from the noise but close enough if you want it. We were there in Feb 2008 so mostly older people about, must say we were lucky with the weather really hot and sunny. Do try the blanket trip up to Guadalest go to the animal sanctuary, trip is free but cost 3 Euros to enter the sactuary really worth it and supports the sanctuary. All in all a very good trip.

We spent Christmas 2007 at the Melia Hotel, and had a brilliant time. The Hotel is beautiful, probably one of the best designed hotels in Benidorm.
The food was excellent. Freshly cooked joints of meat carved for you, also freshly cooked fish and pastas prepared in front of you.
The room was clean, and bedlinen changed daily.
It would have been ideal for just one English programme on the television, and also tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
The gardens were also pretty, and it would be wonderful to come back in the summer to make use of the gardens, and outdoors pools.
We would highly recommend this hotel for easy access to the Benidorm Palace and the nightlife. Excellent for families who like to remain at the poolside, although a fair walk for small children to the seafront.

We have stayed at this hotel previously, one of the best hotels in Benidorm, and we would certainly return again.

Where am I?
