This is the fifth year me and the girls have stayed at the San Diego Apartments! I personally cannot fault them! They are clean, have everything required for a self catering holiday (even a washing machine) and you cant get safer when it comes to location and security, especially for a group of girls! Have just one issue and thats the guy who I presume is caretaker and lives there. Not a very nice man, when we were coming in early hours of the morning he would just appear on the stairwell, also kind of watches you round the pool which can be quite uncomfertable! Other than him everything was spot on, had the best 40th ever! Will be returning again next year and cant wait! Will definately be booking through Benidorm Spotlight also, straight forward with no problems! Roll on next July! Dee and the girls Newcastle!

this is the second time staying in these apts and will return. beach a few mins walk and nightlife on ur doorstep although not too noisey. rooms very secure, only gripe there was no info in room on how to hire tv or anything else

My husband and I have just returned from the Sandiego apartments in Benidorm.The apartments are great,very clean,well equipped for self-catering, with a four burner gas cooker and an electric oven,large fridge/freezer,washing machine,coffee maker,toaster and all the equipment you need to cook meals.
The pool area is small and sometimes it is not all-ways possible to get sun beds,this is because some people go down early and reserve them with towels then don't turn up until the afternoon,but we went down at 10.30 and all-ways got beds.
The staff are great,, very friendly,especially the lady who runs the reception.
The sandiego overlook Benidorm square,so it does get noisy at night if you sleep with the windows open,air- con would help but they don't have it.
We had a great holiday and cant Wait to return.
This was the second time we have been to the Sandiego.

Brilliant accommodation situated on the main strip. Rooms are plenty big enough for 4 people. Nice and clean - full kitchen. Would recommend you bring your own bath towels as although provided, they are not that good. There are no bar facilities at the hotel and the pool is not very big but as it isn't far from the beach, it wasn't an issue. Would definitely recommend it to groups of people, I wouldn't recommend it to families as it is very noisy in the evening.

A great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of everything.Plenty of room in apartment and very good kitchen.Gates are locked at night and a tank could'nt break down your room door very secure.Room service once a week and you have to buy your own bog roll no big deal.My wife and I who are in our 50's loved it and will go back again.Can be noisy as your right in the heart of disco land but did'nt bother us stayed the 10/05/2010 for 10 day's no complaints really good value for money and perfect for old and young if you want a good time

nice and secure, clean, with a pleasent pool area. These are apartments are great value for money and really close to the beach and nightlife - especially the rockin' rockys bar !maybe not for those who want a peacefull holiday though as the central position means you do get nightclub noise, if you are not in them making it ! VERY helpful service from spotlight staff, but paying the deposit out of hours was a little chaotic, we were surrounded by drunks whilst counting out the money at the bar (as asked) in the alpha apartments. #

Yet again for the 4th year running we have enjoyed a brill Hol. Apartments very clean and just what you need for a few days away !! Central to all the action, beach, shops and bars.
We come every year and are ready to book for next year !!! A slight mix up with deposits this year but this didnt spoil our fun !!!!

second time we stayed there and as usual we had a great time,perfect location,clean apartments,clean pool,there is nothing bad about the place to be truthful,we will be staying there again if we come back,2 mins to walk from the english square so ideal if your a group of women.

Great central accomodation. Cheap,clean and basic accomodation. Nice pool. Could have done with more towel changes. I liked the safety barrier around the grounds especially with us being female and the appartments being just off from the square. Despite these concerns we will be staying here again next year due to its fabuolous location opposite KFC.
Concerns initially regarding finding where to go to check in out of reception hours as reception isnt open much and also regarding getting the deposit back. Dont expect to get your deposit back out of hours, it will either be refunded back onto a credit card or I got a postal order through the post. It was actually less in £'s than what we paid in Euros so please be aware of this. We should have had 150 euros back and i got £136. Overall a good place stay.

We have stayed at theses apartments many times and have never had a complaint.
Very secure and very clean.
Only thing I could see wrong is, there is not an iron in the apartment - not a major problem

The apartments were just what we were looking for, right in the center of the night life and within easy reach of the beach.
The pool was lovely and staff were friendly.
We had a fantastic holiday and are booking up soon for next year .

Lovely clean appartment just the place if you want to be in the hub bub of the night life my only gripe was not enough reception cover could not key to gate for car. Would recomend this place for all youngsters out there who want good night life

We enjoyed it so much we went back in May this year you are right slap bang in the middle of all the livley night life had a brilliant time. Apartments very clean had no problems.
Looking forward to going back on the 11th of sept.
Would not stay any where else in benidorm only the San Diego Apartments would recommend them.

we enjoyed our stay at the apartments, but we never got any sleep for 8 nights.
it was a nightmare listening to the nightclubs every night until 7 or 8 a.m every night. It is no good for our age pensioners.

Spent a week in San Diego Apartments in October. was very pleased as we asked for a low floor and was put in 3a (great),very clean ,lot,s of space ,great location and view ,well secured and well lit grounds at night,felt very safe at all times, The lady on reception Nardine (i think) was very pleasent and helpful at all times, will defo be back in March.09.Benidorm Spotlight for us every time, PS could do with washing machine instructions in English.LOL.

dear spotlight, the san diego apts are in a good position but apt 3a overlooks the square so it was very noisy until 6am, also without air conditioning we had to keep windows opened, not much sleep first few nights, not having 24 hour reception means collect keys from alpha apts then taxi to san diego 4euro, paid £80 breakage deposit got £76-15p back by post, maids friendly towels twice a week, would go back to benidorm but somewhere with 24hour reception and air con. WJ.

nice apartments very central for staying up late, not worth booking a two bed apartment because the 2nd bedroom as only 1 bed in it, looks like the balcony as been turned into a bedroom, there were 4 off us so we could have just booked a 1 bed, still had a bril time.

Great apartments that have absoulutly everything you could want in them. Even better if you want o be near the nightlife.

The only thing that might concern you during the peak months is the fact there is no air-con!!

Stayed in the San Diego the end of Aug 2008.
Apartment was nice and clean and nothing to complain about.
2 Balconies 1 with table and chairs the other with sunbed.
Pool area nice and clean, though small.

Now the downside.
Right next to the square.
Very noisy till at least 6 o'clock in the morning.
Had to keep all the windows open cos of the heat cos there wasnt any air conditioning.
(My fault...Should of checked)
Taxi rank just outside gate to apartments so more noise.
Oh and Kentucky over the road too.

So take all this into account before you book.

But apart from that the apartments are lovely and clean and nice and big.

I'll stay there in the winter next time. :o)

hola, yo me aloje en los apartamentos san diego durante una semana en julio, y estube encantada.
el apartamento era para 5 personas : una habitacion de dos camas con armario empotrado (amplio), otra habitacion de una sola cama con armario, y un sofa cama con dos camas independientes. la cocina muy limpia con vajilla y todo lo necesario (aunque no tiene microondas).esta tambien equipada con lavadora ,pozo para lavar la ropa y tendedero.el baño completo y limpio.

la situacion es buena , aunque el apartamento esta en la zona de extrangeros, eramos los unicos españoles del edificio.la playa esta muy muy cerca y hay muchas tiendas y bares alrededor.por las noches es una zona de mucho ambiente juvenil, aunque tambien para extrangeros.
la piscina esta bien tambien y hasta tiene mesas, hamacas y sombrillas.
lo unico malo en mi opinion fue que habia mucha gente extrangera y que las señoras de la limpieza entraron sin llamar ala puerta ni avisar a cambiar las toallas!
por lo demas, lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, de cualquier edad!yo si vuelvo a benidorm ire a apartamentos san diego!

Location Location Location!! The San Diego is close to the gorgeous beach and is literally steps away from your nearest pub. Although really close to the nightlife I can honestly say that it was no noiseier than any other hotel I have stayed in.

The apartments are lovely, I mean don't get me wrong they're not the ritz but they're an ideal base for your holiday they're really spacious and clean and even have a utility room with a washing machine.

There's no restaurant or bar actually within the apartments but there is a vending machine if you need a drink. But don't worry there's plenty of restaurants to grab a bite to eat on right on your doorstep KFC is just across the road and I recommend you try the Yorkshire Pride fantastic food and fantastic value!! There is also a supermarket at the end of the road.

The whole apartment grounds are locked up at night so you have a key to get in so it's all safe and secure.

The only downside is that the reception is onlt staffed for a few hours a day so if you arrive outside these hours you have to go to the Alpha Apartments to get your key (please note you will need to pay a 100euro refundable deposit) this was not too much of a problem as they are quite close by (a 10/15min walk).

I can't wait to rebook and would definately recommend these apartments to anyone wanting to be near the action great value, great location, great apartments!!!!

This is my third time at the San Diego.. Its very central for all the bars and restaurants, and only a five minute walk to the beach. My only complaint would be that the sunbeds round the pool need replacing, as most of them are cracked. The rooms are fantastic, fully equipped kitchen, and even a brand new washer!!!

We went here not really expecting much due to the excellent price (£40 for a week)
The place, although right in the centre was quiet and felt secure.
The room was a great size. There was four of us and we didn't feel too squashed...
We had our towels replaced once and that was all the staff really did for us.
Felt like we were the only people there at times which was fine.
Definately worth the money so would definately return.. Place was really clean too. The guy at the reception was really helpfull (In the end)

We had a very pleasent stay here, with no trouble at all. Nicely placed in the centre of the Benidorm area with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
The pool was a good size and it wasn't busy in there, so it's nice to have the opportunity to chill out and also have at the pool.

this was second tie stayed in these apartments , and goin back end of september , just love them , and right in hub of everything so no taxis need ,right across from kentucky fry and all the shops supermarkets you need , 5 minute walk and all the shows ect ther , another 10in walk to beach ,beds in living area not too great slats keep falling out and not easy to put beds up.bedroo superb ,pool area superb also , just got new table and chairs ther also ,always found staff really helpfull in reception and also by e mals , lift hall reception great as well,great kitchen , gas cooker cooker hood /washing machine , a little dying area at window ajoining kitchen all cutlery /glasses cups plates ect you will need.great that front gate at road is locked at night .but really need two sets of keys , or apartment.litterly just round corner the square and honestly didnt hear any noise from ther , as most usic is in the clubs , but mayb thats because i might have been in them hehehehhehhe ,, recomend it to all , cheers benidorm spotlight and

I recently spent a weekend in the san diego apartments and found them very clean and spacious.There is only a part time reception at this apatment so I didn't see much off the staff but when I did they were very helpful. The pool area was very clean, the only problem was that most of the sunloungers were broken. Those may have been changed for the season as it appeared that new tables and chairs were being set up when we were there. These apartments are very close to all the nightclubs which are just round the corner. This did not detract from our stay as we were not disturbed by any noise. The apartments are also very close to the beach so had the best of both worlds and we found them very good value for money and would use them again.

Great accomodation for the price, apartment clean and fairly well stocked. Utility room even had a washing machine and lines to hang clothes. Location v good, 5 mins to the beach and 30 seconds to the nightlife so be aware that there is an element of noise at night. Remember though it's Benidorm so it's noisy in 90% of the town. Additional costs for TV usage, safe key & parking but hey, they had it available and it's your choice. Excellent apartment highly recommended.

Apartments ok very clean. Good position if you dont mind noise on a night. Our sofa bed was broken but fixed it ok myself. The receptionist is very rarely there I had a 10 min walk to pick keys up. I was expecting 2 singles in each bedroom but only 1 in one of the bedrooms a bit akwared for 2 couples.But otherwise ok.

San Diego apartments are well kept apartments they have good pool faciliteis and are well kitted out. They're in an excellent location for all Benidorms nightlife. Just one recommendation for them there should be a microwave oven in each apt

This is the second time we've stayed at the San Diego apartments. This time we found it noisy late at night because we were in rooms overlooking The Beachcomber Bar, not facing Calle Gerona - but earplugs soon sorted it! Rooms are clean and comfortable, although starting to look a little tired. It's still good value and if we return to Benidorm, we'll not hesitate to book here again.

Have stayed twice now at these apartments,having booked a two bedded room on both occasions. Spacious is what first comes to mind didn't feel cramped with the 4 adults. Any one needing two bedrooms should consider that the 2nd bedroom only has a single bed the other being in the lounge which may be a problem for some. We feel the apartments are good value for money and if you stay out around the main cabaret/bar areas at night, the location is great as they are at the back of the main disco/bar strip so no taxis etc to get back home. Even in the thick of the 'Action', there are no problems with noise etc.

We stayed at the San Diego the 1st week in April the apartments were ideally situated for us as we had our 16yr old daughter and her friend with us and they did'nt have far to walk home. The apartments were very clean and tidy and had everything you would require. All the two bedroomed apartments are on the first three floors and face the front. We were fortunate enough to be on the first floor and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning with my cup of tea people watching. I would recommend these apartments and I would go back and stay there again myself.

the only thing against it was that there was nobody on reception for most of the day, we arrived about 3pm an had to walk about 10 mins with our cases to find a different block of apartments to collect our keys.

My husband and myself have just returned from Benidorm and we stayed at the San Diego Apts. I would definately recommend these to anyone. We found them extremely modern and very clean and spacious. It was quite cold in the evenings whilst we were there yet the heating in the aparts was very good and they were lovely and warm. The water was very hot and it was really nice to have a gas hob rather than electric, although the oven was electric. My two sons and their girlfriends and two other friends are staying there in June and i know they will be really pleased. They were extremely efficiant in returning the deposit. The only thing that didnt get done was a change of sheets although we did have a change of towels. All in all i would give these aparts 10 out of 10 for excellent value and will definately stay there again.

After visiting the San Diego Apartments in 2006 we did not hesitate to book again for 2007 and were not disappointed. The rooms are very spacious and clean and would highly recommend them. The staff are very courteous and available to assist you if required although the reception is only open for a few hours each day. The apartments have an outdoor swimming pool, sunbeds, childrens play area and car parking availability. The apartments are centrally situated for all the night life and due to their position we were concerned about noise from the discos around the corner during the night but these fears were completely unfounded.The beach is only five minutes walk and supermarkets, shops, bars and evening entertainment are close by.I have no hesitation in recommending the San Diego Apartments and hope to stay there again in the future.Be aware that a 150 euro deposit is required on arrival to cover breakages and damage which is is normal as in other apartments.

Ive stayed at the San Diego apartments a few times. We went on Oct 4th weather fab apart from 2 days of thunderstorms and floods.We were hoping we didnt get room A, have only stayed in B and C as they have sea views and the balcony doesnt look onto the square so less noise.But when we got there we had an A apartment, once inside the bathroom was huge and the balcony was huge you could still see the sea from the side and the noise wasnt too bad as we were out just as late as every1 else. But the beaty of this room as we had no neighbours so could have our music turned up a lot more then normal just to get into the spirit lol. But I love these apartments they are nipping clean you get all the facilities of a full kitchen a utility room with washing machine also ask at the desk and they will give you an ironboard the pool area is starting to look a bit shabby could do with a bit of face lift maybe they will before next season lots of broken sunbeds and they used to have a big box full of parasols but that had gone so when it was hot you had to look for bits of shade. But would definately go back there again best apartments for size cleanliness and proxcimerty to all the action

The location is first class unless like us you are above the nightclubs,it is noisy until 7am,the couple we were with were next door and heard a little noise,so try to pick your room or ELSE.The apartments are very good with everything you need,we have no complaints what so ever.Would I go back,no,only because of the noise.I would go to the companies other properties without hesitation.Hope this helps.

These apartments were great. Very clean, spacious and had everything you needed plus the extras like full size freezer, washing machine and the choice of 2 balconies! Brilliant location with bars and restaurants very close by. From reading other reviews we thought it may get noisy at night but we didnt think it was too bad to say your right next to the square!The pool was quite small although the days that we spent there it was fairly quiet and had it to ourselves most of the time. Excellent value for money, we have already booked for March next year!

The apartments are spotless and in an excellent location for all entertainment. Clubs and Discos for the younger element and Cabaret Bars for the more mature. The apartment we were in had 2 balconies. The main one facing Calle Gerona with an unexpectedly good sea view, the other faced on to the Bahamas Club.rnA bonus was the Utility room with Washing machine, drying lines and pegs and a separate sink.rnReception is only part-time but receptionists were friendly, helpful and efficient.

i totally loved these appartments they can be a little noisy and we kept the windows shut so in the main weeks i should imagine it can get very hot . they are in an ideal locasion next to the square.all in all they are brilliant

what can i say the best time of our lives once again,you have everything you need and you are not bothered at all everybody is very plesant and nothing is to much trouble we will be back as these appartments are the very best and very central once again i would like to thank you at the sandiego appartments for another wonderful hoilday kind regards alison (newpot gwent)

Just finished a weeks holiday in the san diego it was a nightmare !!! the appartments were very clean but without air conditioning. It was almost impossible to sleep at night for 2 reasons due to lack of air conditioning the windows had to be left open.With the windows open the noise from the drunken revelleraas until 7 in the morning was unbearable. I would not recommend these to anyone who wanted some sleep on holiday

I ahve stayed at these apartments before and love them they are spacious clean and a bonus this time theyve now got washing machines and they also supplied me with ironing board. One beds have 2 balconies your spoilt for choice can be a bit noisy as its right next to the square. But saying that I was coming in same time as avery1 else was from bars. Very secure but problem being they now take handle off the gate to get into the complex so if you didnt have a key you couldnt get in to main doors to bzz your apartment which led to lots of people whistling and shouting up to the aprtments to be let in. Done my head in... But nice pool and central location great Il be back xx

Apartments were well equipped, clean and spacious. Our apartment was facing the square and very noisy in the early hours of the morning, especially with gangs of lads singing on their way home between 7am - 8am. There was no-one at reception on arrival and the notice of where to collect the key was not on the reception counter but on near the front door, where we missed it initially. I would not stay in these apartments during the spring/summer months again, but would certainly stay during the winter when it is quieter as the location is excellent for the nightlife, beach and restaurants.

I have been traveling to and from benidorm since 1988 and we felt we needed a change of scenery,so i clicked on to this site and found what i call fantastic apparments right in the middle of everything you could possiably need i had a brill time and since arriving back home have told all my family and friends where to go and how to book on line, i myself have booked again for a hoilday with my family and can assure you we will once again have a fab time in beniorm and most of all very relexed in these beautiful and first class appartments I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPU
