Enjoyed a week in Benidorm. The Sol Pelicanos is ideally situated for the bars, shops and both indoor & outdoor markets. Receptionists were very pleasant & helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday even Sundays. Only complaint is that sunbeds are being reserved with towels, sometimes for hours, even though there is a sign saying they will be removed. I was nxt to 4 beds reserved with towels for 3 hours b4 any1 came to use them. The staff SHOULD but don't remove the towels. Its not really their fault, it's selfish holidaymakers!

Good value for money. But reception posed problems. If you are able check which hotel block you are in. There is the Pelicanos and the Ocas. Don't stand in the wrong reception queue and eventually get sent to the other block. The Ocas, where we stayed had only one person on reception and there was a long wait.
Great pools. Entertainment reasonable. Food reasonable and plentiful. Location good for beach and nightlife.

I have stayed before and knew what to expect.Very good facilities,accomodation and food was as usual provided for an extremely reasonable price. The only critizisms I have where the slow check in,Being put in the less attractive Ocas wing and over enthusiastic restaurant staff persistantly clearing away food when guests momenterily left it to get drinks etc. This problem seems quite common in Spanish hotels with buffet service. however I don't wish the above comments to detract from the overall wonderfull experiance I had. Which I had expected from previous visits.

This is a really good value hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised as I wasn't too sure what to expect from a three star hotel.
I would definately recommend this hotel for all ages.
Its lively, good location,really nice hotel although the food let it down a bit.

We went with a group of family and friends for our daughters 18th birthday, and we had a brillant time, the main pool was excellant expect that they were filming at the time and we couldnt use the swim-up pool bar, which was one of the reason that we chose this hotel, but that still didnt matter, this hotel was one of the best and we have stayed at a few in benidom,there was so much choice in the restaurant and all to a very high stardard, hope to go back again one day

myself and my 2 friends all in our 50s stayed here 13th september first impression of room was very small it was a twin standard room with an extra bed maid service was good and every day food was excellent so all this made up for the small room would stay here again

just come back from a weeks holiday in benidorm stayed here it was fantastic nice clean rooms nice staff the pool was brilliant and the kids club was good as well nothing bad to say if ur goin to nbenidorm stay here the kids will love it

Well What Can I Say Went To Beni For 2 Weeks 1st Thing The Weather Was Great 2 Weeks Of The Temp Been 96 Somtimes 100 We Stayed At Sol Pelcanos Ocas The Hotel Next Door To The Pelcanos Well The Rooms Were Good Apart From The Air Cond Was ****e The Food Was Good Breakfast Was Ok But If You Go For Breakfast U Need To Be Down Before 10.30 Because Everything Is Binned About 10.20 Am Food At Night Chaged A Few Times Pork And Hamburgers And That For The Kids One Big Thing Is A Warning Is The Staff Are Really Unhappy You Will Wait For Ages For A Drink At The Bar The Only Staff In The Hotel Was The Cleaners That Were Friendly One Of The Staff In The Bar I Was Ready For Lifting Into The Pool One Day What We Did Alot Of The Time Was Take Down Or Own Drink Down To The Pool The Prices In The Bar Are Very High 3.50 Euro For A Pint Of Crap Lager In A Plastic Cup The Hotel Is Always Kept Clean Ever Day U Get Cleaner Into To Tidy Clean Towels And That One More Thing Anyone Looking For A Good Pub Its Called The Galowgate Is Just 2 Mins From The Hotel Its Really Cheap 1 Euro For A Pint 2.50 Euro For A Vodak Not The Cheap ****e And 1.30 A Can Of Juice And Has Food And That On During The Day Theme Park Is Great And Water Park Was Ok If U Dont Salt Water You Wont Like It The Them Park The 2 Big New Rides That Keep Telling People About Arent Ready Yet So Beware But It Was Great Holiday And U Cant Beat John And Josephs Great Prices For Drink And Food Was Cracking For The Money And If U Really Want A Great Laugh Go To Panchos At 11pm U Get Kids In From 9 To 12 And Has Got A Happy Hour 9til 10 I Think Well Thats Me Going To Cry Now Untill Next Year Untill I Go Back

We stayed at the Sol Pelicanos and found it to be absolutely fantastic. The hotel was very clean, rooms very cleanwith a maid service every day. We knew beforehand about the building site opposite, but didn't deter us. The food was excellent, with a wide choice...something for everyone. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. As has been said before, the evening entertainment was a little naff, but we went out to a bar every night anyway.

The staff at this hotel were very nice and sincere, the pool area is great, the breakfast was very good (take your own tea bags) apart from the toast machine, the evening meals were ok but with a good variety so you can always find something nice, the room we had was clean and comfortable, however you can hear everything through the paper thin walls, opposite the hotel there is a building site which was very very noisey, dont let it put you off as thats benidorm!!

I have been going to this same hotel every year for 21 years with my parents and now return every year with my own family i would recomend it to any body the staff are great the food fab and the pool out of this world any body who moans that the sausages aren't english or the staff dont speak english need to remember your in spain if they want english theres always blackpool for the moaning ones

Hotel was very clean. Food was lovely but staff serving made you feel like you were imposing asking for a table for 4 setting up. quite rude sometimes. Although the temp was very high for May hotel staff refused to put the aircinditioning on in the rooms as management said they had to wait until a certain date. Does that mean in i book around that time that i pay more?? I found that unacceptable as we were on the front of the hotel so if we left the doors open then the roudy drinkers would wake us up. Entertainment was very medioca as one evening the act was completley in Spanish!! not very welcoming for the English customers. Kids club was fantastic and would recommend them to anyone.

Hi

My husband and 19month old daughter stayed at Sol pelicanos ocas. Hotel was nice apart from the pool area which i found very small, but we were able to use pelicanos pool which was fantastic. My only problem throughout the holiday really was the lift, there was only one working and it took ages to actually get in it, infact we only used it about 4 times throughtout our stay. We had to walk up and down alot off stairs with pushchair.

Sol Melia Pelicanos ocas.
Lovely clean,friendly hotel with good food in an excellent part of benidorm.
Only one complaint they need to have both lifts working.
