Good value for money (had FB) even with an adverse 'pounds-sterling/euro' exchange rate. Food pretty good. Good location for seafront and clubs. Hotel Staff very attentive and friendly. Cleaners very flexible about entry to the rooms for cleaning. Not much space for two people in a standard twin room though. Had somebody with us who was disabled and no special rooms, so he had a standard single; had to help him into and out of the shower (high bath edge). Couldn't get his wheelchair into the main two lifts. Just about got him into the lift at the end of the corridor. But overall good experience staying there.

Was really dissapointed with the first room I got. It was a room on the bottom floor with the window facing the back of the hotel. The terrace door was not possible to open and it was a closed gate behind it so I felt like living in a cell in a prison. After 3 days I got another room facing the pool and this was much better! No one should be forced to live in the first room I got! It felt like 3 days of my vacation was ruined because of it. I can't complain much on the staff even though I expected better service when complaining. Facilities is good. A nice pool with entertaining staff involving the guests in various games and watergymnastics. I would recommend this hotel as long as you get a decent room. But make sure of what room you get before you travel! And last but not least: When I arrived the hotel had bot received my booking. But that was not the hotels fault. If you book through Benidorm Spotlight: make sure the reservation is received by the hotel...

My wife and I had our first holiday in benidorm and in july this year 2009 we stayed at the venus hotel whitch was recommended to us by some friends and everything they told us about it was true the food was very good with a good selection to suit everyone the rooms were a bit small but not a problem room service was very good with towel changed everyday and bed linen every two or three days and the staff polite and helpful and the entertainment about five minutes walk the beach was less than ten minutes from the hotel and we will certainly go to benidorm and the venus hotel it was one of our best holidays and would recommond it to anyone

although we only stayed at the venus for two nights we were delighted with our stay.it was our second time at the venus but i can say it certainly won't be the last.

WE HAVE BEEN TO THE VENUS HOTEL ABOUT SIX TIMES . HOWEVER , WE NEVER SPEND OUR EVENINGS IN THE HOTEL . THE ENTERTAINMENT IN THE DRACMA BAR IS CENTERED AROUND BALLROOM DANCING , THERE IS NO VARIETY .
THERE SHOULD BE MORE EFFORT TO INTERGRATE HOTEL GUESTS BY WAY OF TALENT CONTESTS , KARAOKE NIGHTS ETC;

WE OFTEN GO TO THE RIO PARK
HOTEL WHERE SUCH EVENTS TAKE PLACE --
THEY ARE VERY POPULAR WITH GUESTS--- COME ON USE YOUR IMAGINATION .

WE HAVE STAYED TWICE AT THIS HOTEL OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS OF COMING TO BENIDORM WITH A LARGE GROUP OF DANCING FRIENDS THIS BEING OUR THIRD AT THIS HOTEL AND OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE STAYED AT VARIOUS HOTELS WE EXPECTED TO FIND THAT THE ROOMS HAD BEEN UPGRADED,BECAUSE THE HOTEL EXTERIOR LOOKED MUCH IMPROVED. MY HUSBAND WHO HAS WORKED AT A NUMBER OF FOUR STAR HOTELS AS MAINTENANCE MANAGER AND NOW WORKS FOR HOLIDAY INN THOUGHT THAT THE HOTEL WAS IMPRESSING PEOPLE FROM THE OUTSIDE WITHOUT CARRYING IT THROUGH TO THE REAL THING WHICH IS THE ROOM OR AS HE SAYS THE WOW FACTOR!! HE LOOKS FROM THE POINT OF WHAT HE DOES AND IS NOT CRITICAL OF THE HOTEL OR THE STAFF, YOU TRY TO DO THE BEST YOU CAN WITH THE MONEY OR PRODUCT THAT YOU ARE GIVEN, SO AS HE IS DICTATING TO ME,WELL DONE TO THE STAFF,MANAGERS LOOK AT YOUR ROOMS, COMPETITION WILL GET SO TOUGH THAT THE PICTURE ON THE CHOCOLATE BOX WILL NOT BE GOOD ENOUGH, IT WILL BE THE TASTE AND THE COMFORT AFFORDED BY THEM THAT WILL WIN THE DAY.

WINTER GIVES YOU GOOD START TO THE LONG COLD NIGHTS, BUT ITS ONE OF THOSE PLACES I COULD
NOT GO FOR A MAIN HOLIDAY BUT GREAT FOR A BREAK
WITH FANSTASTIC ENTERTAINMENT AND LOVELY BEACHES AND SCENERY.

The Venus Hotel is in a great location, so handy for everything. Mins from the beach and also the Wed/Sun market. This hotel is spotless. Pool area is the biggest of any the hotels we have been in, again spotless plenty of beds and still space. Quite a good choice of food and you would not leave table hungrymy only complaint is it was very basic cooking but tasty. Rooms are a little small but spotless. Two lovley bars. We only went one night to the entertainment and we were very impressed by the show. What more can I say. We were there in Oct , would go back without hesitation. thanks Venus keep up the excellent work. Oh I had a little complaint re the telly, by the time we had dinner it was sorted.

couldnt really fault the venus hotel,ideal location in centre of benidorm,food excellent,pool area large,loads of sunloungers,rooms very nice with plasma television,just a couple of things that could do with mentioning,no entertainment at night time in hotel,also you couldnt get a cup of coffe or tea with your evening meal,you had to buy a beer or juice,apart from that the venus was a excellent hotel and we enjoyed our stay there,we would definitely book to go there again. would also recommend the coach shuttle service from the airport to hotel and back again,excellent value and excellent service.

Very nice hotel and very good location.
Staff on receptional helpful and friendly.
Staff in restaurant did not smile or look happy in their work.

Breakfast was until 10am but restaurant was being closed down at 9.40am ready for lunches.
The tea machine was turned off at 9.50am.


Same thing in the evening the restaurant closed at 9pm but food was taken away around 8.30pm so they could set up for breakfast the following day.Very few desserts after 8pm

Otherwise I enjoyed everything apart from the bad weather!

VENUS HOTEL


Outstanding value for a 3* hotel.
Good situation for all the attractions
and nightlife. Good food with plenty of
choices. pool area very clean with more
than enough beds, with plenty of space.
Staff at reception and throughout the
hotel very helpful. a plus point was the
availability of English newspapers at
reception early(8.00am) every morning.

Ideal location,very handy for walks in all directions, Markets close by.
Great pool, very good for keeping an eye on my 4yr old grandson,with climbing frame in shade,shallow kiddies portion of pool at far end of pool so if you want quite time go to top of pool, area is large enough to accommodate both comfortably. Loads of shaded or sunny areas around pool, good light hearted and brief entertainment at pool area.
Food very good, and staff spot on.
Although rooms not the best we have stayed in they are very clean and pleasent, recently had fridges installed.
Most people using this hotel are returning clients - as are we.
We are going back in September for the 5th time!

the 3 day break i had was fine,apart from hotel did not inform me of work. on floors 8/9.which you could hear on 6..after one day they moved me to the other block.for which i must say the rooms were spot on.loads of places to store your stuff.they just need a few cleaners at night going round to tidy up thats all..cannot really fault this hotel.for place its in.

have read other reviews and it is hard to believe i was in the same hotel this was my third visit and it will certainly be my last i had requested a pool view but was put in a very small room on a busy road complained but was told hotel full the reception staff could not care less the room also had ants all over i reported it twice but nothing was done the entertainment manager was pathetic who wants to listen to the same tape of the old rugged cross every day when you are on holiday i am not hard to please but i will certainly not be back to the venus

fabulous hotel, maid service, rooms, food and staff exceptional. Only one complaint, dont get road side apartment, too noisy, never slept at all for two nights, hotel staff fantastic, moved us to poolside in two days. Never been to Benidorm before but this hotel must rank as one of the best. marks out of ten 20.rnwe will be back

If your going to benidorm this is the hotel to stay in. The food is great,the rooms are a good size and are cleaned everyday,i read on some of the reviwes tht people complaind about there towels not being washed but there is a sign on the wall saying you have to put the towels in the bath as me and my boyfriend did and we got them changed everyday.The pool is a little on the small side but its not always full,but if you want a lilo next to the pool you have to put ur towel down early.Its a five minute walk to lavante beach,the shops are right outside the hotel,theres a market on a sunday a 5-10 minute walk away.Its only a three star hotel but it should be a four its a realy good hotel so if you decide to go enjoy!!! its a realy nice place thanks for reading stacey n Andy

A friendly, well staffed hotel. Comfortable rooms, excellent maid service, the cleanliness of rooms and hotel is second to none. The location of the Hotel Venus is excellent. The Drachma Bar is a must. There are choices of food for all tastes, the desserts are wonderful and the restaurant staff are friendly, polite and only too willing to help. This was our second holiday in the Venus and we have booked again for July. I am sure we will holiday there for many years to come.

I've just come back from my first visit to Benidorm. I went for 2 weeks with my Mum,who is 77 and we had a great time! The Venus is a super hotel - it's beautifully clean, plenty of sunbeds and the food is fantastic (and we are very fussy!) I heard a couple of moans about the noise but we were fine (always take ear plugs anyway) There were mainly elderly guests there in May, but on Thursdays the Stag & Hen parties arrived for the weekends providing great entertainment!!rnThe Hotel is very well placed for the seafront, cabaret shows, bars, shops and buses. We found Benidorm ideal for mum as she doesn't walk so well and everywhere was lovely and flat.I would definitely go back to the Venus.
