On the first day there was a thunderstorm and a lot of rain. Through a large hole in my ceiling water dripped into my room and kept me from sleeping. The toilet and air conditioning kept breaking down in regular intervals. Other than that the rooms were fine. The food was varying. On the up side they had fine salads for every meal and a selection of (not always ripe) frit to choose from. Preparing meat was not the specialty of the chef. The beef was impossible to eat and so were 'croquetes con jamon'. The paella at lunch and the fresh 'gambas' were the best part of the food. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. The staff at the reception was always friendly and cooperative.

We have just returned from a 3 night break at the Torre Dorada and can recommend the Hotel as an ideal base if you prefer something quieter than the Levante Hotels Hotel was only about 1/3 occupied but this did not spoil our break Please be aware that the hill up to the Hotel might be a problem for some people
